Proper use and maintenance can extend the lifespan of sunglasses while ensuring their sun protection effect and wearing comfort. This can be divided into two parts: daily use precautions and cleaning and maintenance methods.

I. Daily Use Precautions

1. Avoid High Temperatures and Exposure to Sunlight

2. Correct Wearing and Removing
When putting on and taking off sunglasses, use both hands simultaneously, holding both sides of the temples and moving them gently. Avoid pulling on one temple with one hand, which can cause frame deformation or loosening of the temples.

For sports or outdoor activities, it is recommended to choose styles with non-slip nose pads and temple covers to prevent slipping. Avoid wearing sunglasses during strenuous activities (such as basketball and boxing) to prevent impact that could cause frame breakage or lens shattering.

3. Proper Storage
When not wearing the glasses, promptly place them in a dedicated eyeglass case to prevent direct contact between the lenses and rough surfaces such as tabletops and pockets, which can cause scratches. Also, avoid storing them with hard objects such as keys and coins, as this can cause lens wear or frame deformation.

Keep the lenses facing upwards when storing to minimize friction between the lenses and items inside the case.

4. Avoid Contact with Corrosive Substances
Keep the glasses away from cosmetics, perfumes, sunscreens, and other chemical products. The chemical components in these substances can corrode the lens coating and frame material, leading to blurred lenses and frame fading and cracking.

When sweating heavily, promptly wipe away sweat from the temples and nose pads with a soft cloth, especially for metal frames, as the salt in sweat can easily cause oxidation and rust.
